  • TYRA L. POINDEXTER

    TYRA L. POINDEXTER, Mt. Prospect Location Manager / Funeral Director

    TYRA L. POINDEXTER, Manager, is a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in the State of Illinois, who has more than nine years’ experience in the funeral service industry. She is a member of the Illinois Funeral Directors Association (IFDA), a member of the Cook County Funeral Directors Association (CCFDA), and a Certified Crematory Operator (CCO). She began her journey by actively serving as a funeral assistant in an Evanston, Illinois funeral home during her senior year of high school.

    She attended Evanston Township High School where she was an honor student, an Evanston NAACP and Chessmen Unity Scholar. Upon graduating high school, she went on to attend Southern Illinois University Carbondale (SIUC) receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Mortuary Science and Funeral Service. As a student at SIUC, Tyra was a member of the Dean’s List, Chair of Gamma Beta Phi National Honor Society, Chair of the College of Applied Sciences and Arts Diversity and Inclusivity Committee, Treasurer for Sigma Phi Sigma Business Organization, and a Residence Hall Assistant.

    Tyra received collegiate scholarships from the Egyptian Funeral Directors Association, Pettett Funeral Home, and Don Hertz Funeral Service. Tyra is dedicated, patient, and honest. In her free time, she enjoys writing, reading, listening to music, and participating in sports. She is known for her hard work, commitment, warm demeanor, positive mindset, and her sense of humor.

  • Shawn P. Cremer

    Shawn P. Cremer, Funeral Director General Manager

    Shawn P. Cremer has been a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer since 1999. A native of Rockford, IL Shawn graduated from Rockford East High School and went on to graduate from Rock Valley College. At the age of 18 Shawn started his career in the funeral industry, in addition, helping the local Coroner. A few years later Shawn started working for Fitzgerald Funeral Home in 1994 and proudly graduated from Worsham College of Mortuary Science. During his career Shawn has worked for family owned and corporate owned funeral homes. Shawn is currently working on his bachelor's degree in Organizational Leadership, from Arizona State University. Shawn enjoys being involved in the community and to help with planning special fundraising events; in the past years he has done some community theater. Throughout the years Shawn has given several lectures for the Illinois Funeral Directors Association. Most recently Shawn is extremely active in HDSA.org. “Family is everything”. Shawn started his career as a funeral director and now proudly worked his way as general manager for multiple locations, he feels honored and blessed to be able to serve families and his community.

  • BAILEY BUTTERFIELD

    BAILEY BUTTERFIELD, Funeral Director - Licensed Beautician

    Bailey Butterfield was born and raised in Rockford, Illinois, but has called Chicago her home since 2007. Bailey graduated from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in 2017 and is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer. She has spent the last five years dedicating herself to helping families in their time of need.

    Prior to entering the funeral industry, Bailey worked as a hairstylist in various salons on the north side of Chicago. Bailey has maintained her beautician's license and continues to cut and color hair in her free time. Additionally, when time allows, she volunteers her time cutting hair at Misericordia, a home for individuals with developmental disabilities.

    In her free time, Bailey loves spending time with her husband & their miniature aussiedoodle Bobot. She loves to travel, to collect inordinate amounts of houseplants and Lego sets, and always strives to find time to bury her nose in a good book.

    Bailey is grateful for the opportunity to serve the Chicago and suburban communities, and always strives to be a light in dark and challenging times.

    Bill has served the Chicagoland community for almost 50 years. He was born and raised in Iowa. He came to Chicago to fullfill he dreams of being a funeral director. Bill has been with the firm for over 20 years. He is compassionate and dedicated to the families he serves. Bill is always caring and his gentle nature has been a comfort to many families in their time of need. Bill enjoys movies and theatre.

  • TOM CHUNG-II SUH

    TOM CHUNG-II SUH, Funeral Director - Licensed Preneed Agent

    Tom Chung-Il Suh has been serving as the President of the Korean American Association of Chicago since 2013. Tom has been a licensed funeral director in since 1996. He received his license after graduating from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Wheeling. Tom, along with his wife Sue, have two sons and a daughter. Tom and Sue currently attend Hebron Church. Due to his affiliation with the Korean American Association of Chicago, he has had the opportunity to meet with the President of South Korea on many occasions. Tom has a desire to see all Korean Americans succeed in every aspect of their lives. He is an avid golfer, runs marathons, and enjoys traveling.
