Raymond R. Rozny

Raymond R. Rozny, 72, husband of Barbara Rozny, Galesburg, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2020 at the Marigold Nursing Home. Born August 26, 1948, in Chicago, Illinois, he was the son of the late Raymond and Catherine Rozny. Mr. Rozny attended the University of Illinois and Southern Illinois University. He received a Masters Degree in Finance from DePaul University. He was a proud member of the Roofers Union Local 11. Mr. Rozny was the founder of Regency Roofing which he owned for over 20 years. In his spare time, you could find him cheering for the Fighting Illini with friends and family, fishing in Eagle River, Wisconsin, or working with his sons repairing an edsel in his garage. He is survived by wife Barbara, son Matthew and his wife Sarah A. of Galesburg, IL, son Michael and his wife Kersden of Milwaukee, WI and Daughter-in-Law Sarah L. of Des Plaines; 6 grandchildren, Nathan, Max, Anna, James, Kelsey, and Ryan. He is also survived by his brother Ralph of Tennesee, sisters Janine of Bartlett, IL and Joanne of Cary, IL and by 7 nieces and nephews. In addition to father Raymond and mother Catherine, he was predeceased by his son Randall. Visitation Tuesday from 3:00 to 9:00 PM at Matz Funeral Home, 410 E Rand Rd, Mt Prospect. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 AM in St. Edna’s Catholic Church, 2525 N Arlington Heights Rd, Arlington Heights.
