John F. Malloy

John Fredrick Malloy, 65 years old, of Des Plaines passed away on December 15, 2022. Loving husband of Roberta (nee Nichols) Malloy for 40 years, Devoted father of Carolyn Malloy and Molly Malloy, Adoring grandfather of Charlotte and Bowie, Dearest brother of Sharon (Kevin) Malloy–Stanbridge, Proud Uncle of Sean Stanbridge, Krystal (nee Nichols) Wert, Zachary Graf and Alex Graf. He was preceded in death by his Beloved parents John J. Malloy and Charlotte (nee Bostetter) Malloy. John was a selfless man, who after spending many years in food service management, devoted his life to being a full-time caregiver to his disabled daughter, Molly and babysitter for his granddaughters. He loved his wife with all his heart and they truly set an example of what love looks like for 40 beautiful years. He had a passion for politics and had given his time as a precinct captain for the Republicans of Maine Township. John was a great supporter of the Make-A-Wish foundation and Cure Epilepsy, Often giving his time speaking at events for Make-A-Wish of his appreciation of their devotion to disabled children and adults like his daughter, Molly. John grew up in Lincolnwood and had an uncanny knowledge of Chicago. Most Who knew him, knew he had a great love and interest in the Chicago fire department with a great knowledge of fire trucks and equipment. He shared his joy of listening to fire and police calls on his collection of radios with his family. John had the most beautiful eyes and his infectious smile lit up the room wherever he went, his unique and boisterous laugh was contagious. His people skills were unmatched as he made anyone he spoke to feel special, he was a stranger to no one. He truly will be missed every day and his legacy of kindness and compassion will live on eternally. Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 3 PM to 8 PM at Matz Mt. Prospect funeral chapel, 410 E. Rand rd. Mt. Prospect, IL 60056 A funeral mass to honor his life will be Thursday, December 22, 10:30 AM at Saint Emily 1400 E. Central Rd., Mount Prospect, IL 60056. Interment to follow at All Saints 700 N. River Rd., Des Plaines, IL 60016 In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to Cure Epilepsy PO Box 10572 Chicago, IL 60610.
